Basically the player is dealt a 5 card hand (bear in mind that like with all online video poker games, you are playing against the computer, not other players). The player then decides which cards to keep and which to discard (and get replaced). If your 5 card hand after you have determined which cards to keep is a winner, you get the money. But then there is the doubling feature which allows a winner to opt to try and double their wins. The way this works is that the player is again dealt 5 cards (one face up) and from these has to select one of the other 4 (face down). A higher card (than the face down one) renders a double payout and a lower one renders all money being lost. In a tie situation one has to decide whether to take the gamble again or their original winnings and run!
